Denstone College wish to provide an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Person to join our friendly and supportive grounds team. You will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the grounds around the site, as instructed by the Grounds Manager. The role will be predominantly Monday to Friday with the exception of occasional events. Denstone College and The Prep at Denstone College are a leading independent school in rural Staffordshire. Beginning life as a school in 1873, Denstone College is a thriving, co-educational boarding and day school. situated close to Uttoxeter. We have our own preparatory school, which has recently moved onto the main campus, providing continuous education on the same site for pupils aged from 4-18. The school is part of the Woodard Corporation, and the Head is in membership of HMC.
- Experience as a Grounds Person or similar role
- Experience in grounds equipment maintenance and repair or willing to learn
- Spraying licences and relevant grounds qualifications are desirable
- Ability to work outdoors in all weathers
- Ability to understand Health and Safety processes and following risk assessments
- Ability to work on own initiative within given guidelines
- Ability to work as part of a team
