Mental Health Key Worker

The Park is a 12-bed step through rehabilitative facility set in beautiful rural countryside not far from Thornbury. We house adult males aged 18-65 with a mental health illness. The service's core philosophy is the promotion of independence, health and social recovery through bespoke rehabilitation and care/support planning for these adults
As a Key Worker at The Park, you will be working as part of an innovative, friendly, and compassionate team. You will be responsible for enabling people with various and sometimes very complex support needs to progress towards recovery, wellbeing, and independence through the utilisation of creative, flexible, and outcome-driven support, planning and delivery techniques.
**Key aspects of the role include**:
- Previous significant experience working with people with mental health needs including support planning and assessing risk.
- Previous experience of providing peer support and supervision.
- Experience providing practical and emotional support that has enabled service users to achieve defined objectives around recovery, taking responsibility and progressing towards more independent living.
- Deliver creative, flexible and, outcomes driven support
- Oversee and facilitate medication regimes.
- Attend meetings with or on behalf of service users.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the mental health act.
- Conduct crisis mitigation and resolution work.
- Provide ongoing guidance, direction and support to peers and junior team members and encourage a supportive, open, and inclusive working culture.
- Assist with the effective induction of new staff.
- Conduct and participate in peer supervision sessions and team meetings.
**Shift times**
Please note, this role is worked during 12 hours shifts which involve days and nights on a rolling 3 week rota. 3 - 4 shifts worked per week.
Days: 07:30 - 20:00
Nights: 19:30 - 08:00

**Please note - The Park is in a rural location, based in the postcode GL12, you will need your own transport and we have plenty of onsite parking.**
