MASS is an ambitious technology company with a proud history in the defence and security sectors. We’re looking for an experienced IC professional who understands the power of good internal communications to join our friendly Communications team.

With a remit to work with our teams in the south west region, we’re looking for someone to set up and develop region-specific internal communication channels.

This is a new role and an opportunity to put your stamp on internal comms for one of our key regions. You’ll be working closely with senior leaders, advising them on best practice for internal comms and engagement, as well as managing the regular IC channels you’ve set up and developed. You’ll be part of the Communications team at MASS so you’ll have support from other professionals. The role is hybrid, so you’ll have the option of working half the week from home.

**How you’ll support us**
- Set up and manage internal comms and engagement channels for our key sites in the south west region
- Manage communication and engagement for change projects
- Advise and support senior leaders in on communication with stakeholders
- Provide best practice comms advice and support to senior leaders
- Develop ways for employees to provide feedback
- Provide internal communications and brand advice and support to colleagues
- Manage the communications for internal projects in the south west region
- Work with the rest of the Communications team to help manage company-wide internal comms channels and projects, where needed.

**The invaluable experience you’ll bring, to help us achieve more**:

- 3+ years’ experience working in internal communications
- Experience of advising senior leaders on internal comms and engagement.
- Experience of proactively sourcing and creating high quality, relevant content for a range of channels
- A strong understanding of what makes a good news story
- Experience of managing comms for internal projects.
- High level writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to build relationships across the business at all levels
- Ability to distil complex, technical information into engaging content

**It’ll be great if you also have**:

- Experience of working in an internal comms role within a complex environment
- Experience of defence and/or tech industry
- Experience of working on change programmes
