**Role Description**:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a capable and engaging Executive Officer to join the School of Aerospace, Transport Systems and Manfacturing, reporting directly to the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of the school.

**About the Role**

This is a business critical, varied role for the School, providing support to the Pro-Vice Chancellor (PVC) of SATM on day to day office running but also supporting the School in a broader capacity. You will project manage various events, functions, activities and campaigns on behalf of the School and the University, working in conjunction with other Schools and Themes. You will work with efficiency and professionalism, delivering high standards of service in a busy and varied role. Maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality at all times, you will be highly diplomatic with a pro-active and pragmatic approach to your work. This is a very busy office and there may be occasions when you might need to work outside your normal hours of work and as such, a flexible approach is required.

**About You**

You will be educated to degree level or have a good standard of general education with significant experience, demonstrating relevant on the job training, signifying a successful history of personal development to degree level equivalence. You will have demonstrable and significant Senior PA/EA experience in a similarly demanding role supporting a senior manager. You will have an excellent eye for detail, be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and demonstrate resilience. You will be a team player but also comfortable working independently. You will use your extensive communication skills to influence, engage, build relationships and communicate effectively with a breadth of individuals, both internally and externally. You must be comfortable working in an environment where you will have regular sight of confidential and sensitive information.
