Senior Test Engineer - Internal Combustion Engines

Are you an experienced Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading team in the automotive industry? Working alongside Senior Engineers, Principal Engineers, or Engineering Managers, you will have the opportunity to contribute to projects and gradually take on more complex responsibilities as customer demands evolve.

Ensure strict adherence to health and safety procedures and maintain high-quality standards.
Achieve engineering objectives under the guidance of senior team members.
Develop accurate test bed setups by generating engine installation packs and schematics.
Process and validate engine test data, analysing trends and identifying areas of concern.
Provide support to colleagues to achieve project goals.
Track project efficiency and manage project-related invoicing.
Lead initiatives to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
Automotive/Mechanical Engineering HND or Degree. Experience in an automotive engineering discipline.
Experience in an automotive testing environment, specifically test bed operations.
Excellent understanding of gasoline and diesel engine mechanical fundamentals.
Experience working closely with customer engineering teams to establish and execute test programs.
Familiarity with a variety of engine types (Petrol, Diesel, High Performance, Heavy Duty, Alternative Fuels).
Proficiency with engine test cell equipment and software, including engine dynos, instrumentation, and calibration tools.
Data interpretation, critique, and presentation using Excel and/or AVL Concerto.
Strong report writing skills using company standard templates.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
