Our client is a UK leading, rapidly expanding retailer based in Manchester City Centre and are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team.

This role would suit a Purchase Ledger Clerk with at least 1 years' experience, who is looking for the next step in their career, with lots of support and mentorship on offer. The financial controller is passionate about offering excellent opportunities for growth and progression in numerous areas of the business.

**What does the role involve?**

The company is looking for a hard-working individual who can support the day-to-day running of the finance team.

Reporting to the Ledger Accountant, your role will involve working alongside the accounts payable team processing invoices/credits. Your role will also involve providing assistance to suppliers with any queries which may arise and any ad hoc duties which arise

**Responsibilities include**:

- Review the Accounts Payable mailbox daily and dealing with any queries
- Preparing weekly and monthly payment runs
- Ensuring all invoices are filed correctly (circa 150/week)
- Accurate allocation of payment runs and credit notes
- Entering invoice details, logging, and scanning for approval
- Working with strong controls to chase appropriate approvals
- Requesting copy invoices as required and completing supplier statements
- Distributing invoices to the P&L once they have been approved
- Updating cashflow document with daily activity

**Who would be the right fit?**
- Excellent telephone manner, confidence, and strong communication skills
- Driven individual with excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Has at least one years' experience within an Accounts Payable position
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
- Organised and has strong attention to detail
- Strong computer skills are essential
- Ability to liaise with others and form effective working relationships
- Experience of Microsoft Navision is desirable
