Our company is an upcoming and fast growing provider of person-centred care in customers’ homes, with individual care planning and customers’ welfare the centre of our culture. We Supply carers to other care agencies and private customers needing 24 hour care.

We are seeking a Care Coordinator to join our existing team admin and care teams. Care Coordinators are the back bone of a care business and they manage everybody’s rosters and ensure that the customers get continuity. Good coordination means happy customers and carers. Being flexible, adaptable, fast forward thinking is key to this role. This role is for somebody who can deal with stressful situations and stay level-headed. You need to have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Also, strong computer skills as everything needs to get recorded. What does the Care Coordinator role entail? Dealing with daily rota changes, job allocation and inputting customer information. Ensuring customer visits are allocated to a carer team. Correctly inputting carers information in our systems and updating all admin resources of changes of availability and important data. Forward planning of rosters and organising team meetings and supervisions schedules. Answering phones and dealing with customers, professional associates and carers. Working together with other team members on other administrative issues or marketing events. Taking the on-call phone on a rota basis. Updating training systems and updating calendars and staff files. Be willing to make telephone call to prospective customers and other agencies to source some customers.

What skillset do you need? Communication is key for any Care coordinator, so you will need to be calm, patient, professional and an excellent listener. Highly skilled with computers (Excel, Microsoft) and mobile handset technology. Strong Organisation and time management skills and the ability to multi-task Reliability, self-motivation, hard-working and the ability to work well under pressure and in crisis situations. Team player and hands-on attitude as you will be required to step in on emergencies. Strong people skills and the ability to build relationships and negotiate Have the ability to deal with confrontation and crisis situations. Being able to problem-solve. Experienced in rostering systems or other planning systems.
