**QC/Goods Inspector**

**Hourly rate: 11.51/hr**

**Working hours: 38.5/week**

Our client is a well-established organisation based in the Birkenhead /Merseyside and currently seeking to recruit Goods-In Inspector to work within their QC department.

**This position is initially for 3 months contract with a view to becoming permanent**.

**Duties include**:

- Reporting to the QC Manager, the Goods-In Inspector will be responsible for carrying out inspection of aerosols components received.
- Liaise and work closely with Warehouse personnel to ensure goods received are sampled and tested in a timely manner.
- Prepare reports, compile, and maintain records on incoming goods test results.
- Ensure incoming goods are fit for purpose.
- Support continuous improvement of the goods-in function.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure goods-in testing equipment is maintained and calibrated as required.
- Generate sampling plans in accordance with statistical sampling requirements.
- Sample goods received according to approved sampling plans.
- Test goods received against approved specifications.
- Record all results and generate trend reports.
- Approve/reject goods received based on test results.
- Investigate out of specification results.
- Initiate supplier complaints for goods received that are out of specification.
- Author test records for components and raw materials.
- Author standard operating procedures for goods-in.
- Adhere to all instructional and Health & Safety guidelines for the use of equipment in order to maintain a safe work environment.

**Essential Skills/Experience**:

- Knowledge of statistical sampling techniques.
- Able to create spreadsheets in Excel.
- Strong teamwork background.
- Ability to follow instruction.
- Good communication skills.

The Goods-Inspector will be Conscientious and hardworking individual who can work effectively in a fast-moving environment, whilst maintaining accuracy at all times.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 3 months

**Salary**: £11.50-£11.51 per hour

- Monday to Friday
