Permanent position, 22.5 hours a week
- The role of the Temporary Staffing Assistant/Co-ordinator is to support the activities of the Trust’s central Resourcing and Temporary Staffing teams in providing an efficient Trust-wide Temporary Staffing Service; matching appropriately trained bank or agency locums to vacant shifts. Requests will cover all staff groups, using a variety of IT systems.
- Duties to be carried out in a professional manner that ensures a high level of customer service to all Gloucester Hospitals Trust customers, both internal and external.

You will be part of an active, friendly team that provides 7 days cover for the provision of temporary staff at both Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals.

- A high level of customer service to all Gloucester Hospitals Trust customers, both internal and external.
- Use of online temporary staffing systems to assist in matching ward /department requests for staff cover with availability of staff. Ensuring that documentation and computer data relating to that “matching up” is up to date at all times.
- Maintain close communication with Wards/Departments/Clinical Site Managers/ Matrons on a daily basis. Attend Trust staffing meetings in the absence of the team leader, to ensure ‘real time’ information regarding staffing levels and challenges. Liaise with external nursing agencies on a daily basis.
- Participate in a 7-day rota to provide a high-quality customer service to both internal managers and bank staff when required.
- To support the administration of payroll processes for bank and agency workers, including the processing and checking of agency invoices to ensure that they are accurate and paid promptly.
- Attend meetings and undertake training, including mandatory and role specific training, to ensure that skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date
