An exciting NEW, flexible, part time working unique opportunity has arisen for a motivated and proactive administrative assistant to work alongside the Clinical Services Leads to support the Pharmacy department at Royal Berkshire Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

You will work within the clinical pharmacy team to support the smooth running of the clinical pharmacy service by providing administrative and confidential support. You will be instrumental in helping to review administration processes and identifying more efficient and effective ways of working.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person who will enjoy working in a busy environment working with a multi professional group.

To work closely with the relevant staff to identify, develop and implement administrative systems within the Clinical Pharmacy service. This may include the following:
- Providing administrative support.
- Ensuring relevant paperwork is available for meetings, clinical rota management, communication with other healthcare practitioners
- Preparing and typing letters and reports, including the recording and reporting of Action Notes from meetings
- Assisting in analysing and responding to service needs
- Organising meetings
- Assisting the planning of the Off Duty Rota
- Collating Annual Leave and Sick Leave information for staff
- Assisting in organising mandatory and other training for the staff
- Supporting interviews within the department
- Assisting and actioning outcomes for clinical service leads where required
- Assisting in the administrative process for the recruitment of new staff

- To assist in producing, reviewing and communicating departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Be able to read the appropriate reports and summarise key action points

Personal and Service Development
- Participate in appraisal and contribute to the development of an appropriate personal development plan
- Attend all mandatory training sessions
- To develop and maintain positive and responsive ‘front of house’ operations incorporating excellence in customer service at all times, through training and management of staff
- Assisting the Clinical Services Lead with project work in pharmacy, as appropriate
- You will be supported by experienced clinical leads and other administrative staff
- Assist in the collation of information for audits and service improvement
- To monitor and improve Quality Standards of administrative services within their own area and links with the wider services
