Finance Assistant and Administrator

We are looking for a Finance Assistant and Administrator on a permanent and full-time basis to support the Finance Manager. The business is a combination of a high street retail store and an online e-commerce business.

Key responsibilities:

- Data entry of invoices and credit memos (Sales and Purchase Ledgers)
- Paying suppliers and managing accounts payable tasks
- Assisting with stock management
- Completing payroll and related tasks
- Posting and allocation of payments
- Reconciling cash and shop till receipts
- Reconciliation of bank and credit card statements
- General Ledger reconciliation
- Usage of spreadsheet imports for larger invoices or bill payments
- Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Work with reporting as required
- Filing and management of archive records
- Other ad hoc duties as required
- Strong attention to detail
- Self reliant and good time management skills
- Excellent administration skills, strong numeracy skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent multi-tasking approach
- High level of professionalism
- Experience of Quickbooks Online or other accounting software is beneficial
- Self-motivated and able work independently without close supervision
We offer:

- Salary circa £25,000 per annum
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Hours Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Performance bonus (discretionary)
