**Job Title: Finance Assistant
- Purchase Ledger**

**Salary**:21,162 - 22,564 Extensive Benefits Package**

**Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday**

Morgan Hunt is recruiting for a permanent Finance Assistant role within the Education Sector, based in Dorset. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading Education Sectors. This is a full time, permanent role.

**Main responsibilities of a Finance Assistant - Purchase Ledger**:

- Checking coding of invoices for correct nominal code and dept code
- Registering and scanning of invoices to finance system
- Reconcile supplier statements on a monthly basis
- Producing weekly payment runs for both entities
- Posting payments onto the finance system
- Adhere to monthly deadlines to close Purchase Ledger
- Dealing with callers to the department both in person and by telephone

**As a Finance Officer, it would be ideal if you have**:

- Experience and confidence working in a fast paced finance department
- To have a clear understanding of double entry book keeping
- Understanding of balance sheet and profit and loss accounts, general ledger codes and dept code structure
- Experience of Unit4 Business World accounting system
- Current driving licence
