Our client is a long established wholesale business, who have premises in Kirkcaldy where this role is based

**The Role**

Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant with strong Interpersonal and technical skills to work within the finance team, specifically supporting the Financial Controller.

This role has various duties / responsibilities, but is a core factor in supporting the expansion of the business

**Main responsibilities are**
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Submit vat returns quarterly
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconcile control accounts
- Process accruals and prepayments
- Maintain fixed asset register
- Manage sales and purchase ledgers
- Produce budgets and cash flow forecasts
- Manage cash flow and treasury
- Provide cover as required for other finance roles, such as payroll
- Submit returns to Companies House and National Statistics Office
- AAT Qualified or similar
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Good interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Experience of Sage 50 cloud based
- Kmowledge of invocie factoring
- Strong IT and digital skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proactive and positive attitude
- Good organisation skills
