**The Role**:
You will oversee all manufactured and purchased goods from a quality perspective to ensure the highest levels of safety, quality and efficiency are achieved and maintained. You will also be responsible for maintaining and developing the ISO 9001:2015, OSHAS18001, ISO 45001, BSEN 1090, 3834 CE structural steel class 2 & 3 systems, PAS 24 etc etc and FORS Bronze & Silver logistic quality management systems with the overall aim of ensuring continued compliance with the standards and improve the cost of quality.

**Responsibilities**

**Quality**
- Maintaining the Company Quality Manuals and systems
- Dealing with external Audits
- Updating and maintaining quality systems
- Liaising with the production and Technical departments and customers regarding quality matters
- Updating NCR information log
- Investigating reason for NCR
- Closing out NCR’s after completion
- Internal department audits
- Arrange & chair quality meetings
- Maintain records for calibration
- Update and maintain Training Matrix booking relevant training to maintain standards
- Establish available funding for a variety of activities/requirements
- To assist managers and supervisors in ensuring that all personnel are properly trained in manufacturing methods, in line with the relevant instructions and procedures
- To work closely with the technical department to ensure that all new products and processes are designed such that they are suitable for manufacture, either in-house or by others
- To maintain and be responsible for the correct use of standard operating procedures and manufacturing instructions for all products and processes
- To investigate and resolve all quality issues arising in both manufactured and purchased goods in a timely and efficient manner
- Working with the production manager to ensure that all plant, equipment and tooling are kept in a safe, compliant and efficient condition, organising external inspections and testing where appropriate
- Ensure the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 quality system requirements at all stages of production, purchased materials and components
- To assist the production manager to ensure that a safe working environment and practices are achieved and all health & safety policies and instructions are complied with at all times working closely with our external H&S consultant
- To encourage all employees to be involved in achieving the maximum levels of safety and quality
- To work with the production supervisors to ensure the highest standards for housekeeping are set and maintained
- Liaison with shop floor for quality / inspection improvements
- You will be accountable to Directors and Senior Management
- As Health & Safety Coordinator you will help to manage the Health & Safety under consultation with external advisors and wit the use of BrightSafe portal.
- Update & Review Risk Assessments, Risk Register and Context Matrices
- Conduct Weekly Toolbox Talks
- Arrange Health Surveillance
- Maintenance and upkeep of Accident Records

**About You**:

- You must have previous experience as a Quality Manager
- Worked in a manufacturing environment
- Be prepared to be very hands on
- Hold a full UK driving licence

Salary Pro Rata from £30,000 upwards, negotiable according to experience and knowledge.
