The Role:

- Manage a payroll portfolio of approximately 100 payrolls varying in size and complexity
- Process payrolls on behalf of our network accurately and on time and assist the payroll team to ensure all work is completed accurately and on time. Build a professional rapport with their clients to understand their payroll needs and to be able to addressissues
- Maintain legislative and best practice knowledge for payroll
- Source technical update and cascade detail to the payroll team in monthly meetings and update network web pages
- Provide payroll training to the network
- Streamline procedures, initiate automation, and improve processes and efficiency
- Lead the insource payroll function
- Help and support the team
- Any other reasonable tasks commensurate with experience and capability
Ideally, you will have strong IT skills, including experience with BrightPay, and Excel. Preferably you will have 3+ years of recent experience in a payroll bureau position and be CIPP certified.
There will be occasional travel between their offices, ideally once every two weeks. They are open to flexibility and could consider someone on a 4-day week or a 5hr x 5-day week. They offer hybrid working with a pattern of 3 days office and 2 days WFH.
