Nelson Permanent Placements Limited is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a **Mechanical Supervisor**. This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring quality and safety of all production equipment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and manage a team of mechanical technicians, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems and equipment.
- Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor work progress, assign tasks, and provide guidance to team members.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and troubleshoot equipment failures.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate workflow and ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and make recommendations for procurement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety among team members.
- Prepare reports on project status, productivity, and any incidents or accidents.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or degrees are a plus.
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or similar role in a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in using computer software and maintenance management systems.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of relevant regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Availability to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
