**We are looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Transport Planner for our client on the Flixborough industrial estate.**

You will be working alongside the Senior Transport Planner you will plan for a team of drivers to include the companies own fleet of vehicles and a fleet of dedicated sub contractors and regular hauliers delivering steel and heavy products across the UK.

**Duties**:
**Planning experience is essential**

Assist with planning, dispatching, routing, and tracking of all deliveries

Assist in managing drivers

Administrative support for transport operation

Ensure vehicles comply to legal standards

Liaise with dispatch and loading teams to ensure correct planning for deliveries

Assist in manage compliance records

Knowledge of transport regulations is an advantage

Previous experience from a within a similar role an advantage

**Hours of work are 40 Monday to Friday (flexibility around start and finish times)**

A good geographical knowledge of the UK road system an advantage

A good understanding of word, excel and office

Confident, positive telephone manner and an out going personality

**Own transport required due to location of the site**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: From £25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Scunthorpe: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
