The Assistant Vice President will act as the primary relationship manager for a diverse portfolio of high value clients including hedge funds and private equity funds and, as a senior member of the team, will be responsible for a number of projects while also ensuring clients meet all their regulatory requirements.

The key responsibilities will include:

- Providing company secretarial services and support services to clients which cover the:

- Creation of agendas, collation and distribution of meeting packs and liaising with relevant service providers;
- Management of board, advisory and shareholder meetings including acting as Company Secretary for purposes of taking meeting minutes;
- Preparation of detailed meeting minutes, distribution of board minutes, arranging for the sign-off of minutes and carrying out any post meeting actions as required.
- Administration and management of corporate governance services for the portfolio of entities including assisting with corporate governance filings (annual and ad hoc)
- Dealing with correspondence and administrative matters on a wide range of issues from attorneys, clients and external providers;
- Invoicing and AR management;
- Initiating, leading or assisting with projects as necessary including the documentation of processes and protocols and embedding best practice;
Applicants will have a strong understanding of existing corporate governance and corporate secretarial requirements and best practices in the jurisdictions where Walkers Professional Services has offices and be required to remain current on emerging corporate governance trends and changes.

You will be a client-focused professional who works well under pressure, is adept at providing responsive and high quality service in a dynamic environment. You will be highly organised and detailed oriented with the ability to multitask and work cohesively within a team. In addition, you will have:

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in law, business or languages with strong academic background and ideally the ICSA or CGI qualification;
- A minimum 5 years' relevant experience in industry and/or professional practice;
- Demonstrable knowledge of current corporate governance requirements in the Cayman Islands;
- Strong knowledge of Cayman Island beneficial ownership and economic substance regulatory deadlines;
- A track record of attending, running and co-ordinating board meetings and the ability to prepare detailed and accurate minutes of such meetings in a timely manner;
- An ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines as well as work independently and as a cooperative member of a team;
- An ability to work outside normal business hours and to travel as may be required from time to time.

Walkers Professional Services offers a dynamic working environment with opportunities for career progression and an excellent remuneration package, including a discretionary performance based bonus, pension and fully covered health insurance for employees and 5 weeks’ vacation. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Remuneration will commensurate with qualifications and experience and will be in the range of US$70,000.00 to US$100,000.00.
