Overview:
GB Railfreight currently seek Rail Operators based in Didcot. These roles are for both competent RO's and those who are new to the role.

Working a shift based roster on a nominal 40 hours per week, a Rail Operator will receive a training salary of £19,626 per annum that will rise to £34,726 when competence is achived, plus a generous staff benefits package. So whether you are a veteran Groundstaff looking for a change or you have the right skills and experience from another walk of life to do well in this role, why not go ahead and apply?

**Responsibilities**:
Qualifications:

- Previous operational/Ground staff/shunting experience within the Freight industry would be desirable but not essential, full training will be given where required.
- Experience in a safety critical role would be desirable.
- Experience gained in a Customer facing environment would be advantageous.
- Able to multi-task and make quick decisions for short notice changes to train plans.
- Ability to work independently and on your own initiative.
- Excellent and clear communication skills to relay important safety messages to your colleagues.
- Safety conscious and ability to remain calm in an event of an emergency situation.

A clean full UK driving licence is essential.
