Volunteer Coordinator

**Volunteer Co-ordinator - Spider Project, Birkenhead**

**Hours - 37.5 per week (actual start and finish times will vary day to day)**

In Birkenhead, we run an abstinence project for people with former substance misuse issues and / or mental health issues as well as the Compañeros Crisis Café which aims to divert people away from Accident and Emergency (A&E) and other traditional crisis services by using our dynamic Creative Recovery approach.

**About the Role**

We are seeking a Volunteer Co-ordinator to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our volunteering programme in Birkenhead across both of our operations. You will be working in collaboration with local communities to develop a co-ordinated, efficient and robust creative arts and community health and wellbeing service provision for our members to support their engagement, development, employability and quality of life.

**About You**

We are seeking a positive and enthusiastic person to support our current volunteers to continue on their recovery journey and become the best they can.

You will be someone who is able to positively influence and encourage people to take a step into volunteering. You will be willing to get out into the community to promote Spider Project and work with likeminded organisations in the local area in order to further develop our volunteers. You will be creative in identifying and securing a wide range of opportunities for our volunteers to access, including training and employment opportunities.

You will be able to multi-task and demonstrate a strong awareness of good mental health practices and boundaries which you will pass onto our volunteers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £24,500.00 per year
