**Management Accountant**

**Are you qualified CIMA, ACA or ACCA?**

**Do you have experience in stock, standard costing, and product margin analysis?**

**Do you have proficient systems experience including advanced excel?**

**MacGregor Black**is currently partnering with a **Consumer Goods business ,** on the search for **Management Accountant.**This is a permanent role based in**Derby.**

As the**Management Accountant,**you will report into the Group Management Account and willassist in company objectives and statutory duties by delivering financial information and advice to various budget holders in order to support effectivemanagement control and decision making, enabling the organization to plan, monitor, report and use its financial resources in an effective and efficient manner.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Manage the production of the individual subsidiary management accounts
- Analysis of product/customer margin and from that product/customer profitability
- Identifying risks to margin and stock
- Challenging the Sales and Operations teams on inventory levels
- Deep dives into inventory levels in terms of both where inventory is located and what it is made up of
- Assisting with the production of the Group budgets and forecasts
- Conduct the monthly gross margin review and reconciliation
- Processing ledger transactions and reconciliations
- Conduct the monthly group stock valuations and provisions
- Monthly review of the groups’ product costing records & tracing errors back to their source
- Maintenance & upload of all stock costing information on to Navision for the Group
- Processing ledger transactions and reconciliations
- Monitoring and control of sample stocks across the Group
- Carrying out ad-hoc tasks as required

**What are we looking for?**

**Essential**
- Part or fully qualified in either CIMA, ACA or ACCA. Alternatively, extensive management accounting experience in a busy finance team
- Good knowledge of MS Office packages particularly intermediate/advanced MS Excel
- Experience of using an ERP accounts software package
- Curiosity and a need to know trait - always asking 'why?’
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and to deadlines
- Effective communication skills at all levels
- Ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative
- Pro-active with a diligent approach to your work

**Desirable**
- Experience of Microsoft Navision Accounts package
- Experience of working in a Group environment where many transactions are in foreign currencies
- Stock reporting experience including stock valuations and provisions
