Finance Business Partner - Flex Remote - West Midlands
A key client of ours are currently looking for Finance Business Partners to join their growing team. Joining the company at a critical time, as they transform their finance team.
Key Services:

- Supporting the Senior Finance Business Partner and the wider senior Finance team.
- Play an integral part in shaping and communicating the Business Partner Proposition.
- Actively drive your own personal development and line manage junior members of the team (apprentice resources).
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Constructively challenge colleagues in a fair and balanced way building strong and respected relationships seeking support where appropriate.
- Promote knowledge sharing and communicate the purpose of Business Partner function across the Finance, CIDO and the wider business.
- Leading the Capital Governance process including responsibility for ensuring that financial governance is adhered to and is within the business' Capitalisation Policy as well as supporting the projects with any Capitalisation queries.
- Adherence to the Risk Management Framework and Finance Regulatory Framework, ensuring controls are relevant and robust.
Key Deliverables:

- Month end close, including timely and accurate recording of entries, supporting both the Change Operations Finance Team and IT Finance team.
- Look to continually improve and appropriately challenge current month end processes and models, which are driven primarily from Excel.
- Communication of the financial performance to the Head of Cost Management and the wider Cost Management Team.
- Help to support the Auditors during the Interim and Year End Audit of the accounts, answering any ad hoc queries and providing supporting documentation.
- Support of the yearly budgeting process and the quarterly forecast, including providing insight into movements against both the previous forecasts and prior year performance.
- Supporting the production of financial material for various forums (including both financial and non-financial).
- Play an integral role in the transition from traditional Waterfall Programme Governance to Agile delivery, ensuring the appropriate level of Financial Governance is implemented, whilst maintaining the integrity of the currently financial data.
- Supporting the monthly Risk and Opportunities process as well as helping to manage the year-end flightpath.
