Job Title: Head of English
Location: Rawtenstall
**Salary**: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only
The Opportunity:
Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of pupils and young people? We are seeking an enthusiastic Head of English to join our thriving specialist SEMH School. Reporting to the Head Teacher, you will be responsible for running the English department, ensuring its success in achieving its aims.
About You:
Job Purpose:
Secure high-quality teaching, effective resource utilization, and improved learning standards for all pupils.
Improve the quality of pupils' learning in English across all key stages.
Contribute to the development and implementation of English policy and procedure.
Lead responsibility for English across the school and develop plans with clear targets and success criteria.
Lead responsibility for reading across the school, including reading interventions.
