**Volunteering with Victim Support in Gloucestershire**

As a Volunteer in **Gloucestershire **your role will include:

- Support our teams in the crucial work of raising awareness of our services for young people.
- Raising awareness of our specialist projects for young people in schools and with other agencies, including our STREET service, supporting young people who are experiencing domestic abuse, or via our Hedgehog Finds Her Voice project through the delivery of our Hedgehog workshops in primary schools and early help settings.
- You will play an important role as an advocate for young voices, delivering talks and workshops in a range of settings to highlight our vital services and help young people feel confident to speak out and get help.
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with schools and local organisations.

**What we ask of you?**

In order to join us as a Community Engagement Volunteer, you must:

- Be 18 years of age or over.
- Be able to volunteer for at least 3 hours per month, for at least 3 months.
- Complete a 3-day workbook.
- Undertake a DBS check where required
- Be able to provide two satisfactory references.

**Expenses**
- All Victim Support volunteers are entitled to out-of-pocket expenses incurred whilst volunteering, including travel and lunch.
