You’ll be someone who can work pro-actively, managing your own tasks, but you’ll also be confident collaborating with others, communicating regularly with senior managers, Directors, and BDO’s Partners to enable us to serve our clients effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to our clients.

Overview

The Partnership Office provides high quality strategic, advisory, technical and administrative support to the principal governance bodies of BDO, being the Leadership Team, the Partnership Council and a number of other Boards and Committees.

The Leadership Team (LT) is led by the Managing Partner and is responsible for the development and implementation of the firm’s strategy.

The Partnership Council (PC), led by the firm’s Senior Partner, has oversight of executive management and ensures that the firm’s activities align to its purpose, values and strategic framework.

The Partnership Office team works at the heart of the organisation and is instrumental in helping the firm operate efficiently and effectively. The team comprises 22 individuals including 10 partners and directors.

Playing an important support role at BDO, our business support team contributes to our success by taking responsibility for planning and organisation. Their proactive approach ensures our projects and business as usual activity is delivered seamlessly and co-operation remains strong across our firm.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and co-ordinate diaries of Partnership Office partners/directors as required as well as providing an effective time management approach
- Arrange and co-ordinate internal/external meetings and events including liaising with delegates, booking meeting rooms and arranging refreshments/equipment as necessary
- Co-ordinate requesting extensive business travel, visas, hotel accommodation, preparation of itineraries, cars etc
- Significant liaison with meeting attendees regarding presentations and reports
- Confidence to liaise with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally
- Have visibility of highly confidential information and will need to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Monitor meeting invitations of relevant Partnership Office partners/directors and reply on their behalf when needed
- Completion of expense reports in a timely manner
- Dealing with personal administration as and when required
- Provide an exceptional client experience when supporting initiatives within the firm
- Be responsive and help to create a positive impression of the business support function and the Partnership Office at all touch points
- Providing support to other PAs as necessary, including holiday and sickness cover
- Deal with routine enquiries and taking appropriate messages
- General administrative assistance to the Partnership Office as required.
- Taking on small ad-hoc projects

Technical Knowledge and Professional Qualifications
- Intermediate to advanced level of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Fast accurate typing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- To either have previous experience in, or ability to learn the following systems:

- Workday
- CMS
- Microsoft Office products such as SharePoint, Teams, Yammer etc.

- Be a proactive member of the team
- Ability to readily understand the Partnership Office’s and Firm’s environment, the Partnership Office’s stakeholders, the Firm’s structure and culture
- Ability in exercising initiative, discretion and organisation
- Be able to identify and evaluate problems and demonstrate the ability to approach and tackle problems effectively
