**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**

The Assistant Manager is a member of a team charged with completing file reviews for the IQ-EQ private wealth practice and resolving action points emerging from file reviews and onboarding. They will conduct reviews of the client book against a set methodology, identifying action points where relevant. They will take ownership of action points including requesting and evaluating CDD, papering client files, and preparing packs for the Business Acceptance Committee. They will work in an accurate and timely manner and provide good quality management information to the project manager.

Applicants at Senior Officer level would also be considered.

**Tasks**
- Carry out reviews of client files using the agreed file review methodology
- Where appropriate, liaise with colleagues in other teams to obtain further information or seek clarification
- Evaluate client due diligence to confirm that it meets current regulatory requirements
- Recommend appropriate validation, enhanced measures or enhanced due diligence where appropriate
- Raise follow up questions where appropriate to ensure that accurate and complete information is held in the client record
- Record findings in a clear manner, identifying appropriate action points where required
- Provide clear guidance to client service teams on any information requests to be directed towards clients
- Take ownership of action points emerging from file reviews, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely manner
- Where relevant carry out onboarding tasks such as background screening and client file setup
- Participate in meetings with client service directors and managers to discuss work performed
- Maintain accurate timely records of work performed
- Provide management information to the project manager to enable internal reporting

**Key competencies for position and level**
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, service standard and agreed, operational and control policies and procedures processes
- Using your own judgement, bring to the attention of senior management any issues which you feel appropriate, in particular ensuring that concerns and identified risks are reported in a timely and effective manner
- Demonstrates an awareness and good understanding of the Guernsey Financial Services Commission Handbook on Countering Financial Crime and Terrorist Financing and a basic understanding of IQ-EQ's control environment and the various types of risk - strategic, financial, legal, operational and reputational
- Follows prescribed processes and procedures, appreciating their importance as key risk mitigators, within IQ-EQ's control environment
- Raises concerns about any potential new or emerging risks (including those related to data privacy and security), escalating to the appropriate colleague or team
- Ensures that all reporting is fully completed and meets the required standards and timescales

**Qualifications**:
**Required Experience**

Background experience
- Previous experience at a similar level in an administration, file review or client onboarding role
- Experience in trust or corporate services sector preferred

Education / professional qualifications
- Relevant ICA qualification would be preferred but is not essential

Computer / program knowledge
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
