Temp to perm £12.50/13ph

The Position
Support Technician - Responsible to support the overhaul all types of air ends, blowers and similar equipment as found in industrial and mobile air compressors. Workshop based; no outside work expected.
Spring Road, Birmingham B66
Reporting Relationships
The position reports to the Operations Manager of the business unit and close coordination with the Lead Technician.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receipt, identification, inspection, evaluation and cleaning of incoming air ends,
- Organisation of incoming and outgoing production with forklift and lifting gear,
- Support dismantling, inspection and cleaning,
- Paint, palletise, load and despatch as required,
- Keeping workshop tidy and clean
Compensation & Benefits
- £23,675 - £26,076 per annum, depending on experience,
- Work week 37 ¾ hours scheduled over 4 ½ days,
- Participation in employee benefits after the trial period including
- Pension scheme with up to 6% Company match

- 25 days holiday in addition to 8 statutory holidays,
- Staff bonus scheme which may be in place from time to time.
The Position Requirements - Support Technician
Experience and skill set
- Good level of overall mechanical training and aptitude,
- Experience with basic workshop equipment,
- Good understanding of mechanical equipment and how it works,
- Experience working safely with heavy lifting and use of heat,
- Welding experience not specifically required but a plus,
- Ability to work and communicate well in a team environment, willingness to perform all workshop functions in support of customer and workshop requirements,
