Forensic Toxicology is a multidisciplinary field involving the detection and interpretation of drugs and toxic compounds in biological samples.

Our client is a global leader in providing analytical testing for clients in a range of sectors. Having recently moved to a brand-new laboratory in London, our client carries out Forensic Toxicology testing in their cutting-edge facility. This role has arisendue to expansion of the company and although you will be working across one site initially, there is opportunity to progress and work across multiple sites in the future.

They are looking for a technical expert to provide support and knowledge to the team, including instrument operation, troubleshooting & maintenance. The role will work with a variety of techniques, including LC-MS, GC-MS, GC-MS/MS and immunoassays and willrequire innovation on methods and validation to develop and expand services currently offered.

You will provide technical training and development, act as first point of contact for instrument operators & seek continuous improvement and optimise workflow within the laboratory.

The role will be very hands-on and you can expect to spend around 50% of your time in the lab.

As this position sits in the senior leadership team, you will need to be highly collaborative with excellent communication skills, enthusiastic & proactive.

Strong method development, validation & troubleshooting of chromatography and mass spectrometry is essential.

This role is an immediate appointment with ideal start in the New Year.
