**Job purpose**
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor and based in Gloucester, you will be responsible for providing efficient support to the Warehouse Team/s and all the daily processes and activities they perform, whilst ensuring the highest levels of safety and customer service. You will also play an integral role in ensuring that there is a high level of Warehouse Team engagement and encourage the promotion of our company values throughout the department.
**Hours of Work**
Monday - Friday, 12:00am - 8:30pm with flexibility, 40 hours
**Key Responsibilities**
- Support and lead the Warehouse team and departmental activities and processes when required and in the absence of the supervisory team.
- People - leading by example, acting as an ambassador of our values. Maintaining engagement across the Warehouse department, supporting, and training the team members to drive high performance in line with company priorities, policies, and targets.
- Supporting and leading when required, adherence to all Company SHE (Safety, Health, Environmental) Policies and Procedures, supporting with team briefs and training, in line with company policies & procedures.
- Ensure trained members of the warehouse team carry out all daily equipment inspections, safety checks are completed accurately and consistently.
- Support with reporting incidents and accidents in line with the SHE policy and encouraging warehouse operatives to do the same.
- Supporting and leading when required, daily “safety walks” and identifying “Safety Improvement items / areas”
- Ensuring that all daily processes assigned, which may include, Inbound Deliveries, Stock Quality Checks, Put-aways, Replens, Order Picking, Despatch Quality Checks & Paperwork, Vehicle Loading, Returns are completed on time and accurately.
- Supporting the minimising of damages and lost items in the warehouse/s and actively promoting, effective reporting in these areas throughout the team.
- Supporting and leading when required, all warehouse stock movements, system transactions (on PDAs & PC’s) are completed accurately and in a timely fashion (including “Back to Stock” and “Stock Movement” reconciliation)
- Supporting all departments housekeeping activities and maintaining high standards of housekeeping throughout the team.
- Highlight when Warehouse related consumables, packaging and PPE items are running low and need ordering.
- Additional responsibilities and duties when required in line with business needs

**Desirable Experience and Qualifications**
- Strong H&S standards experience a distinct advantage
- A good working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems and processes
- Good knowledge of Microsoft - Excel / Word / PowerPoint
