We have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Assistant to join our growing team within the Gloucester branch. The role will suit someone with strong understanding and knowledge of a Sales Environment ideally with some showroom or trade counter experience.

You’ll be working closely with the Branch Manager and the wider Warehouse team, assisting in the smooth running of our Cardiff branch: UPVC DIRECT, NB Builders and Principality Plastics Warehouse.

**COMPANY BACKGROUND**

UPVCDIRECT.CO.UK with NB Builders Merchants and Principality Plastics Warehouse are businesses selling DIY/ Trade products for building and maintenance. We sell to the trade market and DIY-ers online and through our branch network in Cardiff, Gelli, Gloucester and Swansea. With this fast and exciting growth, an opportunity for a Group Admin Manager has arisen to support the wider business.

THE ROLE

As a Branch Assistant, you will play a key role in the overall success of the branch. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the team and customers with the selection and supply of products to both B2B and B2C customer both face to face and over the phone. This role would suit someone with a sales background who have a positive attitude who enjoys working in a fast-paced business. You will also assist with some warehouse work, incoming deliveries and outgoing orders. From time to you may also be required to carry out customer deliveries in the company vehicle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Generating customer quotes and orders.
- Sales focus and ability to grow longstanding customer relationships.
- Handle sales orders to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer complaints and concerns with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Oversee goods, Dispatch, collection, credit paperwork, and order accuracy checks.
- Meet or exceed sales and efficiency targets while prioritising customer contentment.
- Working with the branch team to ensure stock management to maintain precise inventory levels, including cycle counts.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimise losses and backorders.
- Support in generating necessary reports on branch performance.
- Experience of dealing with both B2B and B2C customers.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proven experience of working in a sales environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience of working/managing a showroom environment would be advantageous.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven sales experience
- Ability to work with both B2B and B2C clients.

**Job Type**: Full-time, permanent

**Salary**: £26,000 per annum

**Schedule**: Monday to Friday 7:30am-5pm, and alternative Saturdays - 7:30am-noon
