**Tradebe - Inutec require a Radioactive Waste Support Technician for our disposals team, at our nuclear licensed site in Dorset.**

You will be part of a dynamic team that will ensure the compliant receipt and disposal of radioactive wastes including providing support to new business to ensure the waste is compliant from tender through to final disposal which is key in our highly regulated industry.

**What we need**:

- Scientific, technical or engineering background with ability to be trained in technical aspects of radioactive waste handling
- Enthusiasm to learn and understand legislation relating to movement and packaging of radioactive waste (specific training can be provided to improve working knowledge)

**The role**:

- With increasing volumes of complex Low Level and Borderline Intermediate Level Wastes, producers need to find new cost effective ways to safely treat, recycle and dispose of material. At Tradebe Inutec Our sites at Winfrith and Fawley together offer an unparalleled, flexible and complete treatment service.
- Key to our success is the ability to import and export radioactive wastes ensuring compliance with our environmental and safety permits and those of our treatment/recycling and disposal sites.
- Preparing paperwork to import customer waste and export waste for to LLWR (Low Level Waste Repository), Fawley and other radioactive waste processing and disposal sites.
- Supporting the Radwaste Technical Specialist /Radwaste Transport Specialist and Project Managers in data verification tasks.
- Working with the Team to ensure all waste at Tradebe Inutec complies with statutory regulations, Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), ADR, and the Winfrith site and B4 safety cases.
- Ensuring all radioactive wastes are checked against relevant Waste Acceptance Criteria prior to final disposal.
- Undertaking specialist LLW technical assessments.
- Help the Team to provide technical advice / reports to members of other teams in Tradebe Inutec including sales, bids, projects, operations etc.
- Obtaining reports and information on radioactive waste management in UK and overseas and reporting to project and technical managers.
- Updating and improving waste compliance instructions.
- Support the Team in preparation before and during audits.
- Help prepare Dangerous goods notes.
- Prepare waste acceptance paperwork.
- Input data into site inventory tracking system.
- Ensure waste is correctly input and removed from the Tradebe Inutec Waste Tracking database so Tradebe Inutec has a record of all radioactive waste held on site.
- To be responsible as a Task Manager for delivering and leading small project tasks with guidance and support from Project Managers including responsibility for financial control of tasks where appropriate.
