Being an Interventions Facilitator is an incredibly rewarding, yet challenging role. A typical day as an Interventions Facilitator will involve 2.5-3 hours of face to face Programme delivery to offenders which may be in a group environment with a co-facilitator, or in a one-to-one format. The remainder of the day is typically spent writing debriefs and reports, visiting offenders on residential units to complete interviews for assessment, attending team supervision meetings, creating session material and session planning for the next day’s delivery.

The role would suit someone who is open to working with a diverse range of people, is confident in challenging and persuading others, who enjoys team working and is competent at expressing themselves both verbally and in writing. Due to the nature of the role a vast amount of training and support is provided to ensure all Interventions Facilitators are confident and competent to succeed. The training includes _(assessed)_ residential courses at the Prison Service College, other Prison locations and some training is now held via zoom technologies; where Intervention Facilitators are coached in all aspects of Treatment and Programme Delivery, this includes exploring the theory behind the Interventions we deliver as well as enhancing group management and facilitation skills.

**Overview of the job**

The role is based in a prison and will involve working in groups and one-to-one to deliver a programme to help prisoners understand their behaviours, build positive relationships, improve critical thinking skills and support them to live an offence-free future. **Summary**
