**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with editors and writers to contribute to the creation of high-quality science content, including articles and engaging social media updates.
- Meticulous copyediting and proofreading to ensure content adheres to our style guide while maintaining impeccable grammar, clarity, and coherence.
- Conduct thorough research on a wide range of scientific topics, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of information used in articles and assisting with fact-checking processes.
- Stay on top of the latest trends and developments in the scientific community, identifying compelling story ideas and potential sources.
- Work closely with the CURIOUS digital magazine editorial team, writing, editing, and contributing ideas.
- Collaborate closely with the social media team to produce content across various platforms, foster audience engagement, and participate in community interactions.
- Monitor and analyse website traffic and engagement metrics, employing insights to identify opportunities for content improvement and optimization.
- Provide valuable administrative support to the editorial team to facilitate smooth operations.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related science field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience running social media accounts is advantageous.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is advantageous.
- Experience with image editing software and multimedia production tools is a plus.

**Compensation**:

- Salary will be commensurate with experience
- Participation in company benefits after vesting period
