**What you'll be doing**

The successful Procurement Specialist will be responsible for leading on a number of regulated procurement projects, as assigned from Curo’s procurement pipeline, thorough all stages of the procurement cycle.

The role includes providing commercial support and advice to stakeholders across Curo and the responsibilities outlined below.

Key responsibilities will include but not only:

- Provide specialist knowledge and support to cross-functional business partners to achieve optimal contract management and procurement outcomes, realising both cashable savings and non-cashable service improvements.
- Deliver multiple strategic procurements across organisational boundaries for above and below threshold requirements, using compliant competitive tendering procedures.
- Lead on the development and management of Framework Agreements, Dynamic Purchasing Systems and Pre-Approved Supplier Lists.
- Use exceptional negotiation skills to prepare B2B commercial contracts with third-party supply partners, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, standing orders, and processes while securing favourable pricing and terms that minimise risk and deliver commercial and social value.
- Review contractual terms and performance data and interrogate spend through detailed spend analysis on external supply partners to ensure financial savings, social value initiatives and on-going service improvements are being realised.
- Attend contract management meetings with core supply partners, providing guidance and support to foster innovation, build relationships, and resolve disputes.
- Build and nurture strong commercial relationships with external supply partners and internal stakeholders to understand business needs and secure on-going innovation and cost reduction across Curo.

**More about you**

Curo are a Contracting Authority under the Public Contract Regulations 2015, and as a result the Procurement Specialist must have good working knowledge of the Regulations and recent experience of delivering above threshold public procurement competitions.

The Procurement Specialist will have a background in leading on end-to-end public sector procurement competitions. Other background and skills required are:

- Proven experience of successfully delivering compliant above threshold procurement competitions and regulated below threshold contracts using a range of methods and routes to market.
- Ability to Demonstrate value for money and social outcomes through procurement and contract management activities.
- Strong IT skills and experience of working with e-Tendering, e-Evaluations and Contract Management software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate with internal, external, and connected stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of commercial and business acumen.
- Ability to understand, evaluate, summarise, and draw conclusions from numerical and non-numerical data.
