**Job Description**:
We are currently recruiting for a **Legal Assistant** to be based in our Shirebrook office on a full-time basis. You will be a pivotal member of the Property team but also the wider legal team, reporting directly to the Group Head of Real Estate -Legal and to the Head of Legal.
The work has a split of 30% admin and 70% legal work.
**Key Aspects of this role for which necessary training will be provided.**
- To provide general admin assistance such as, arranging post to be sent out, scanning documents, shredding documents, coordinating execution of documents by the Group’s directors (by hand and using Docusign).
- Be responsible for maintaining the contractual paperwork and electronic filing systems, including setting up files for new matters and organizing the share drive.
- Creation of purchase orders and approval/payment of invoices for legal advice.
- Assisting with requesting payments from accounts to be paid to external firms.
- Running matters such as short term leases, licenses, deeds of variation and side letters to completion
- Assisting with maintenance of the global property database
- Completing reviews of completed documents to be added to the global property databases.
- Chasing counterparties to progress matters and drafting letters to external companies.
- To provide assistance in drafting certain legal documents standard letters of authorisation, expiry notices and populating template documents with relevant information and coordinating correspondence under the supervision of the legal team.
**Qualifications**:
- Legal administrative experience preferred.
- Experience within Commercial Property law (Essential) and an interest or willingness to learn about commercial/corporate matters.
- A desire to build a career with a strong and successful company.
