**Credit Controller**

Our client, a leading provider of Air, Steam & Safety Products, based in Gt Yarmouth are currently seeking a Credit Controller to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

The working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 07:30 - 16:00 with 30 mins lunch. You are also entitled to 22 days holiday + BH.

**The role**:
To manage credit control function, solving problems in relation to invoice payments, and reconciling complex month-end customer accounts. They must also report to management on outstanding issues, whilst highlighting potential debtor problems., consultationwith sales and operations to agree invoice details and invoice query management. Pre-chasing customers for outstanding invoices and reconciliation of unpaid credit

**Key Responsibilities for the Credit Controller Include**:

- The key role for the Credit Controller will be the management of the company’s credit control process including:

- Collecting cash in a timely manner and monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors DSO
- Responsible for the maintenance of the relevant sections of the Master Service Tracker applicable to the role.
- Upholding payment procedures and policies that ensure timely payment from customers.
- Resolving problems in relation to invoice payments, and reconciling complex month-end accounts
- Establish a rapport with customer purchase ledger departments to enable more efficient processing and recovery of outstanding invoices.
- Communicate outstanding customer purchase orders to Operations Hire Controller during internal weekly purchase order review meetings.
- Regular phone calls with customers ahead of invoice due dates to ensure invoices are scheduled for payment in accordance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Generation of weekly and monthly credit control reports.
- Compliance with Company’s policies and procedures.
- Maintenance of robust audit trail for invoices raised and appropriate backup and query resolution.
- Critical evaluation of processes and the identification of continuous improvement of operating efficiencies.
- Assist sales ledger on invoicing and month end reporting on aged debt.
- Timely delivery of reports
- Accurate record keeping
- Accurate representation of information
- Reduction of customer debtor days

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Previous experience within a credit control position with good analytical skills and highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office including advanced level Excel skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure in order to meet internal and ternal reporting deadlines and requirements.
- Experience working with combined operational & financial business systems e.g., Sage Insphire, SAP.
- Educated to NVQ Level 3 Diploma, HND or similar.

The Person:
You will be a strong extravert character with exceptional communication and organisation skills. You will need to be comfortable dealing with customers in confrontational scenarios and have a flexible approach combined with attention to detail and hands onwork ethic, being comfortable using new systems and confident in picking up new processes.
A team player who is willing to learn and develop within the role and on new assignments as they arise.
