Sissinghurst portfolio contains four fascinating properties. Sissinghurst Castle Garden is a highly personal garden planned by two people whose artistry was matched by their plant knowledge and who had an individual point of view.

Smallhythe Place, once the home of actress Ellen Terry, contains a museum and Barn Theatre, whilst enjoying stunning views of the Kent countryside.

Stoneacre is a hidden gem, just 15 minutes from the centre of Maidstone, it is a 15th Century house with an Arts and Crafts twist, nestled amongst a glorious garden, orchard and meadow.

What you'll be doing:You'll have be responsible for the recognition, recruitment and training of volunteers. You will maintain and develop new community relationships to engage with different audiences, in line with the Volunteering & Community Plan.
- Who we're looking forDemonstrate a sound understanding of volunteering and be enthusiastic about promoting the benefits of great volunteer involvement and opportunities
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about working with volunteers and understand the differences between staff and volunteers, particularly the legal frameworks
- Have excellent customer services and communication skills
- Have a flexible approach and be a great team player, be able to lead on and work with other people's agendas towards a common purpose
- Be well organised and attentive to detail
- A sound working knowledge of volunteering principles and practice
- IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Knowledge and experience of budget management
