About the area you’ll be working in

As Supplier Relationship Specialist, you will play an integral part in driving the performance of Bupa’s business. This is a key position, offering direct support to Supplier Relationship Managers and developing business relationships with selected key Bupa suppliers.

This is a great opportunity for a commercial Supplier Relationship Specialist professional to drive their career forward at the UK’s leading private healthcare provider.

About the role
- Responsibility for a range of key supplier contracts
- Developing supplier relationships so that Bupa is a customer of choice
- Enhance key contracts to achieve maximum value and deliver ongoing cost saving
- Measure supplier performance against contractural and aspirational service delivery targets
- Agreeing and monitoring improvement plans with suppliers.
- Collaboration with suppliers to develop innovations to products, supply chain or service work flows to generate additional value to both parties.
- Perform benchmarking of supplier performance against industry standards.
- Assessing existing contracts to highlight contract leakage and produce solutions
- Work with the UK Category Management teams to identify commercial sourcing opportunities
- Support the negotiation of new contracts or contract renewals
- Ensuring compliance to the FCA and PRA regulations on outsourcing.
- Generation of supplier status analysis and reporting on Supplier Status Management Activity

About you you will
- Have at least 3 years of proven supplier/contract management, administration, negotiation or similar experience.
- Understanding of SYSC8/13 and SS21 from the PRA and FC
- Be expected to train towards or hold a professional SRM qualification or MCIPS
- Be comfortable with reading contracts in relation to cost modelling and SLA’s
- Be able to collate, interpret and interrogate detailed operational management information
- Demonstrate the ability to analyse and present large amounts of financial data with attention to detail and effectively communicate these at all levels to influence change.
- Be self motivated and have the ability to motivate others and have good influencing and persuasion skills.
- Possess excellent planning, organisation and communication skills
