Perth and Kinross are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has experience in working with young people aged between 16-24 who may face multiple barriers. This post will help support the young people's engagement, participation and progression towards positive destinations.
The successful applicant will engage with young people from age 15 ½ years onwards at risk of a negative destination and will provide intensive one to one support to ensure that each young person has an action plan.
The successful applicant will be responsible for a locality including 2 secondary schools where there will be an expectation to develop and deliver employability groups with pupils identified at risk.
Home visits will also be required for those young people on school roll and not attending.
Support delivery of industry specific skills academies for young people from the age of 15 ½ up to 24 and up to age 26 for care experienced young people.
**The Individual**:
Applicants should be able to work flexibly across a variety of environments to meet the needs of the young people.
You will be able to show that you can work to deadlines, have the ability to work on your own and as part of a team, and have experience of working in partnership with other agencies.
You will have experience of working with young people and building relationships.
You must show evidence of supporting young people with employability across a range of barriers.
You must have experience and evidence of developing and delivering groups and support to vulnerable young people with a variety of support needs.
You will have knowledge of relevant government guidelines and the employability 16+ framework/agenda in Perth and Kinross.
