We have a vacancy in our busy reception team for Care Navigator(s)
We have two vacancies available. The hours are split as;
Vacancy 1
Monday 7.45am to 1pm and 3.30pm to 6.45pm
Tuesday 7.45am to 1pm
Friday 7.45am to 1pm
Total of 19 hours per week
Vacancy 2
Monday 7.45am to 1pm
Tuesday 3.30pm to 6.45pm
Wednesday 7.45am to 3.30pm
Friday 1pm to 6.45pm
Total of 21.5 hours per week
The pay is £10 per hour.
**Job Summary**:
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone
**Responsibilities**:
Administration
- To have a thorough knowledge of all Practice procedures.
- To work in accordance of written protocols
- Pulling/filing notes for surgeries and update as necessary
- Filing and scanning post in medical records
- Fax and photocopy as requested
Reception
- Receiving patients consulting with members of Practice team
- Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address.
- Be able to cover all reception position as necessary
Appointments
- Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients by telephone and in person.
- Understand the various roles of clinicians and direct patient to the appropriate clinician for appointment.
- Deal with home visits requests
Computer
- Registrations of new patients - computer data entry and medical records.
- Process patients change of address - computer data and medical records (have knowledge of Practice area)
- Process repeat prescription request in accordance with Practice guidelines and training.
Telephone
- Have working knowledge of telephone/bleep system, during and after hours.
- Cover for telephonist when necessary.
- Answer calls in a prompt and courteous manner - using the appropriate greeting and giving your name.
Other Tasks
- Clear rooms after surgeries
- Ensure building security - have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm.
- Have thorough knowledge of opening procedures and requirements and closing procedures and requirements.
- Make coffee for doctors
- Any other tasks allocated by managers
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week
**Salary**: £10.00 per hour
