A major multinational Chemical company is looking to appoint an experienced QC Analyst to their main QC team as part of ongoing expansion plans. Considerable experience in GC and GC-Headspace alongside wet chemistry techniques is required to be successfulin the role.
- Provide analytical testing and results on plant in process samples, product samples and environmental (waste) samples for the site
- Sampling from plant samplers
- Maintenance of plant samplers
- Running GC, GC-Headspace and AA following methodology provided
- Performing wet chemistry techniques, including titrations, pH, COD
- Recording and reporting data within the quality system
- Performing statistical analysis of data as part of plant process control
- Having responsibility for maintenance and upkeep of analytical equipment
- Assisting with the Investigation of failures and complaints
- Keep up to date results spreadsheets and records and training docs for audit trail
- Provide testing and support for decommissioning and stability projects on site
- Compose blends, analyse and prepare for sale
- Support of the wider QC team including techniques such as HPLC and Ion Chromatography

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Qualified to Degree level or equivalent in Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry
- Minimum of 3 years in an industrial chemical environment with exposure to plant operations
- Excellent communication skills, oral, written and presentational
- General expertise in analytical techniques, particularly GC AA, wet analysis, KF and COD determination, and handling of organometallic compounds
- Ethical & committed approach in providing analytical results.
- Good data management and organisational ability
