KeyResponsibilities Education/StaffDevelopment Establish and develop active learning environments across the Trust. Provide professionalleadership and support to all members of the workforce supervising and assessing learners on placement. Work with HEIs,PracticeAssessors, Ward Managers and Matrons to ensure placements meet appropriate quality standards. Collaborate with HEIs andclinicalplacements to analyse feedback from student evaluations.

And reporting thematic analysis across the Trust. Provides expertclinicalleadership for staff supporting underperforming learners. Leadon the training ofPracticeAssessors and Supervisors. Maintain a database ofPracticeAssessors, monitoring numbers and compliance with biennial updates.

Leads on programmes and forums to develop the educational and pastoral support for pre-registration learners. Leadon the facilitation of the Trusts Care Certificate programme Provide the Trust reports and updates regarding progress of all education programmes for unregistered Band 2 4 staff. Support staff in the provision of regular local and relevant teaching and training sessions Be a source of highly specialistclinicaland educational knowledge promoting bestpracticethrough evidence-based care Support the review anddevelopmentof the annual educational, training anddevelopmentbusiness plans. Be responsible for organising and providing training, support and advice to all staff,in conjunction with local wards/departments and Organisation Learning andDevelopment Work with Senior Sister/Charge Nurses to contribute to standard setting for nursingpractice Work closely and co-operatively with other Trust employees involved in staffdevelopmentto ensure that training activities are co-ordinated throughout the Trust When required, assist in the selection of staff for attendance on courses and otherdevelopmentopportunities Assist in educational audits as required Support and developpracticeeducation anddevelopmentacross the Trust.

Promote the Nurse Associate role and develop education pathways to enable unregistered nursing, midwifery and AHPs to progress towards professional registration. Oversee compliance with professional body standards regarding leaners inpractice. Monitor the provision of high-qualityclinicalplacements for non-medical professionals within the Trust. Management Responsibilities Communicates with staff in all areas of the Trust Line manages particular group of colluages within Clinical Education Team Manages own workload and projects Responsible for monitoring performance against competency requirements Produce relevant reports against specific programmes of work as directed by the Head of Clinical Education Participate, where needed in selection, interviewing and recruitment of staff.

Assist in staff retention by promoting the professional and personal growth of staff Facilitate the sharing of best practice both within the Trust and externally Responsible for the line management of a specific group of staff within Clincical Education Team Identify and plan current and future training and delivery needs in collaboration with external providers Act on behalf of the Head of Clinical Education in their absence and when requested Take responsibility for assessing and recognising issues in practice which need immediate escalation and takes appropriate action when required Demonstrates clear leadership skills and acts as an effective role model and facilitator in all aspects of the management of learners in practice Engages with senior staff in responding to learners concerns and complaints Contributes to any internal or external education meetings to look at the most effective way to support learners and practice assessors in practice Contributes to the internal and external quality monitoring reports with respect to practice learning Works within the Trusts policies and procedures, ensuring that all staff do the same Professional Responsibilities Accountable for any care given, complying with the NMC Code of Conduct Practise in accordance with the professional direction as stipulated in the Trusts Nursing & Midwifery strategy Act as an advocate for patients within the Trust, to ensure a patient orientated approach to the delivery of care and to meet standards within relevant national and local guidelines Ensure that patients receive high quality clinical care and a good patient experience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs and doctrines Take personal responsibility for promoting a safe environment and safe patient care by identifying areas of risk and following the Incident and Serious Incident reporting procedure Have a visible presence within the clinical setting Be responsible for own professional development and an awareness of clinical educational developments.
