Purpose of Role:
We're looking for a very smart, enthusiastic and proactive individual who is flexible, adaptable and able to use their own initiative as part of the Merchandising and Buying team. This role comes with both responsibility and autonomy hence the title is less important than being the absolute right person for the job and fit for the team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further their career in the beauty industry and within the merchandising function. The person must always have knowledge of the beauty industry and a passionate interest in beauty trends plus the drive to maximise sales. This is the primary focus of the role. The key to working in the Buying and Merchandising team at Cult Beauty is the ability to find the correct balance between the expectation of the customer, the internal teams, the suppliers and the objectives of the company's financial strategy. And the ability to easily juggle the needs of each of these internal and external customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Analysing sales figures and spotting trends and acting upon immediately - daily and weekly
- Evaluate large amounts of data and make sound decisions based on what you see
- Completing reorders of products in a timely manner
- Forecasting and planning sales demand for brands
- Creating ad-hoc reports as requested and having input on ideas regarding new reporting
- Working closely with the Merchandiser to maximise every opportunity / sales trend
- Planning product campaigns with affiliates team
- Working closely with the buying team to plan newness and feeding back on trends and concerns
- Liaising with suppliers regarding supply issues as required
- Advising the Merchandising Director of any stock 'threats'/ overages/ risks and devising strategies together to deal with these problems
- Communicating category sales trends across the business in conjunction with the Merchandiser
- Communicating and planning with the DC, as necessary

**Must haves**:

- A minimum of 2 years' experience at AM level
- Retail market aware both online and high street with strong sales focus and commercial acumen
- High attention to detail and accuracy standards
- Experience of managing multiple brands at the same time
- Ability to think of the customer always
- Strong experience of supplier liaison
- Interest in luxury and online beauty retail
- Highly computer literate and with advanced level of Excel ability or above
- Proactive team player and able to work on own accord
- Must be happy working in a small team
- A self-starter able to multi-task, prioritise and manage workload with little guidance
- Excellent communicator both internally and with external suppliers
- You must be confident
