A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to collate and submit the payroll for a UK manufacturing operation within their head office based in Sunderland. With ongoing growth, this well established leader in its field needs the successful applicant to possess the following minimum requirements:

- Previous demonstrable experience in a similar position and the ability to deliver a high quality Payroll administration service
- Ability to effectively share and pass-on knowledge via various learning methodologies (one to one/team training/ written guides etc.)
- Ability to work with Payroll Manager to implement changes to systems, processes and documentation
- Understanding of pensions
- Experience working with large database software programs performing data entry or processing standardised forms
- Experience investigating and resolving customer problems and concerns

Experience in the following areas would be highly advantageous:

- Knowledge of supporting the transfer of a number of payrolls to one new payroll solution
- Development of enhanced control environment for payroll processes
- Integration of selected payroll system with other systems including HR & Time & Attendance

The successful applicant will be professional with confidential integrity, excellent problem solving skills with ability to resolve complex financial issues. Strong numerical skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail with an analytical and methodical approach.

The role requires excellent IT skills (Excel) with ability to produce a variety of correspondence and exemplary customer service skills.

In return, you can expect a competition salary in line with your experience, 25 days holiday with the option to purchase five more days, health plan, enhanced pension option, life assurance, Monday to Friday 37.5 covering core hours.

Driving Licence required for occasional travel to one of two other sites - hire car and travel expenses paid.
