Procurement Category Manager

As Procurement Category Manager, you will play a leading role in HC-One’s Procurement strategy and management, to meet category objectives for cost reduction, management of supply chain and supply chain projects and providing a first class service to allCustomers and business stakeholders.
By developing positive working relationships and overall management of ongoing negotiations with suppliers of key categories, you will ensure that we benefit / leverage their resources, expertise, and with overall responsibility for the supply chain managementof key category contracts, you will drive compliance to sourcing strategies in each Business Unit, proactively managing vendor performance, manage existing category suppliers, as well as Procurement of new provision.
You will provide a platform of continuous market intelligence, analysing spends, transactional and pricing data, continuously monitoring the category markets, sharing major cost variations with the key suppliers, to maintain a competitive category portfolioand manage queries and issues reported by Home colleagues and other stakeholders relating directly to category responsibilities, ensuring feedback and robust resolutions are implemented.You will hold, or be working towards, MICPS qualification, with substantialexperience in a Procurement role, ideally within the Care or Health industry, and have commercial acumen in line with business scale and spend.
You are a confident communicator who creates professional and credible relationships at all levels and have led diverse teams, you have the ability to challenge, inspire and ensure team members excel in their roles.
You have delivered good quality and commercial results and managed budgets, delivering against targets set, have experience of analysing spend and implementing remedial actions to support overspend and are able to identify indicators of poor performance andquality, and are able to act effectively.

All colleagues are requiredto attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas. You also have the ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
