**PROCUREMENT BUSINESS PARTNER**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Business Partner to join our Procurement team on a permanent basis. The role operates in a remote capacity, but will require occasional travel to the office.

Railpen is responsible for the safekeeping and investment of around £33 billion in assets and the administration of the railways pension schemes, one of the UK's largest and longest established pension funds. It also provides administration services to a wide variety of schemes across sectors outside of the rail industry.

The role

As the Procurement Business Partner you be responsible for promoting procurement best practices within Railpen and delivering value for money. You will drive forward procurement sourcing activities in an effective and structured manner, ensuring compliance with the Procurement Policy, which includes providing advice and guidance to key internal stakeholders.

The Procurement Business Partner will play a key role in leading end to end procurement processes for sourcing new services. You will lead on advising on commercial decisions for key procurement categories, Identify and lead on value-added opportunities for VFM and ensure compliance with the procurement policy and all relevant processes. Other responsibilities include ensuring consistent and compliant use of the supplier on boarding due diligence process.

The person

We are looking for someone who can foster a collaborative and positive work environment and have the ability to work cohesively with other departments and with members of the procurement team to drive forward our sourcing initiatives. You will exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders and be able to effectively convey technical information. In addition, you will have an analytical mindset and methodical skills to investigate and resolve problems. Being highly organised and possessing the ability to deliver success with a diverse workload whilst maintaining exceptional attention to detail is also key to being successful in the role.
