Class People have a great new opportunity for a Teaching Assistant on a fixed-term contract at a well-known secondary school around Frome. You will be working in Key Stage 3 with students assisting them with their work and helping to manage behaviour inclasses.

This is a full-time position on a medium to long term contract starting ASAP. The role may include some lunchtime duties overseeing larger groups of students. The school is part of a trust, and places the highest value on educational excellence and spiritualinsight. Taking a caring approach, teachers always aim to create rock-solid relationships with students to aid their development as far as physically possible.
- Experience of working in a school setting as a Teaching Assistant
- Experience work working with children with SEN in groups or 1:1
- A demonstrable history of a positive and sensitive approach, putting the needs of the students above all else
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to take the initiative; adapting working styles to suit the needs of the students on the day, displaying a clear understanding of the different ways children learn
- A demonstrable history of assisting teaching to a consistently high standard
- Profound enthusiasm and creativity when engaging with students of all primary ages and abilities.
