**Job Summary**
The Specialist Delivery team (SD) is a team of experts managing HR operations, whose duties include:

- Being accountable for all HR operations whether managed within the Region or outsourced with internal or external vendors. SD team needs to ensure accuracy & timeliness of all HR operations to ensure a positive impact to staff who are our internal clients.
- Ensuring Regulatory compliance with respect to all SD activities.
- The responsibility of implementing Group HR policies, standards & procedures specific to HR operational activities, ensuring alignment with Local Regulatory requirements in Region and the delivery of Staff Benefits over the Staff lifecycle with the bank;i.e. from Hire to Exit process.
- Technical and specialized services within HR operations and help in implementing any newly developed HR products and services
- Providing strategic and consultative services to various functions in HR including Head of HR
The role of the Head of HR Specialist Delivery for Europe & the Americas is to set out and drive the Specialist Delivery strategy and take responsibility for the delivery across 11 Countries. The role works in close partnership with Heads of HR, HR Centre ofExpertise (COE's), Group HR & Global People Services (GPS) team to understand the requirements and ensure appropriate delivery. The incumbent in the role should be in frequent contact with the relevant Hub teams & vendor to ensure alignment to the SD strategy,driving excellence in specialist delivery and ensuring business stakeholder satisfaction with the overall HR operations.
**Responsibilities**
**Strategy**:

- Develop expertise in all SD matters, acting as a trusted adviser to Heads of HR & and their direct teams on HR operational matters.
- Drive and advise on complex project implementation in Country/Region factoring local policies & procedures impacting HR Specialist Delivery activities.
- Establish relationships with Country HR Heads and Country COEs to implement any HR policies & procedures and to align local market practice with that of the Group.
- Drive simplification of HR processes to ensure enhancement of service level from customer perspective.
- Participate in the Specialist Delivery leadership forum, coordinating and championing activities within respective region and providing feedback into the design and advisory of HR operational activities as they relate to the relevant country teams.
- Identify and implement a comprehensive short-term and medium-term plan for simplifying complex HR operational activities in the countries / region
- Conduct monthly production calls with CEOs / local Office Managers in Argentina, Brazil and Colombia.

**Processes**:

- Collaborate with HR CoEs to achieve excellence in the implementation of HR products and policies across business functions, seeking to improve functional understanding of these in order to drive business performance and employee motivation.
- Drive all HR operational activities from the perspective of the region, in line with Group guidelines and Regulatory requirement acting as a point of contact for the HR team.
- Lead the oversight of vendors: this is a key part of the role given the reliance we place on vendors to deliver a wide range and depth of HR services. Primary responsibilities include: vendor changes, vendor hygiene requirements, input into pricing discussions,escalations from either colleagues or the vendor, and service review meetings.
- Collaborate with all SD team to increase the level of consistency across markets with respect to Specialist Delivery activities, reduce vendor costs and ensure service level with respect from clients' perspective.
- Manage, evaluate and improve effectiveness of all HR Operational activities.
- Oversight of the delivery of benefits throughout the EA region, including oversight of benefit related systems such as UK Darwin infrastructure & ADP and related activities involving life insurance, medical benefits and income protection where liaison withan insurance broker will be required.
- Data extracts needed for vendors and other benefit purposes (for example - for pricing insurance cover, insuring individuals, valuing pension liabilities or consolidating information on Material Risk Takers).
- A point of escalation for the invoices and budgeting managed by the Pensions Administrator
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency in HR SD activities by technology enhancements, migration to GPS or process improvements.
- Inspire a focus on quality improvement at all times, looking internally and externally for best practice.
- Close analysis of available metrics to understand service delivery challenges; work collaboratively to resolve these through drawing together all relevant stakeholders.
- Work with HR vendor management team and Product COE's to drive vendor management including delivery

**People & Talent**:

- Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with other teams.
- Promote & embed a culture of openness, trust & risk awareness where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.
- Appoint and deploy SD staff within region; motivate and develop them to achieve high standards of performance.
- Ensure direct reports have the appropriate skills and tools to be able to provide an effective partnership to the HR function and the hub
- Set appropriate tone and expectations with team and work in collaboration with partners
- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and reward in line with performance against responsibilities and goals
- Play a key role in helping manage the day to day work responsibilities and goals of GPS resources appointed specifically to the EA region.
- Create and maintain a culture of open communication at all levels which subsequently filters through to excellent customer engagement
- Role model valued behaviours, leading by example
