Simulation Facilitator

The Simulation Team are recruiting a Band 6 Simulation Facilitator to join our team leading, managing and providing expert advice and guidance to both the medical simulation training programmes and community focused non-medical simulation

A key part of the role is to support, develop and deliver new and innovative ways to provide simulation using future technologies to drive adaption and change.

You will support the ISU to develop their own multi-professional training simulations with the emphasis on in-situdelivery and be responsible for planning, creating and updating simulation scenarios in line with requirement from external sources (e.g. HEE, Universities) and intra-organisational teams.
- Simulation programme delivery
- Simulation programme development
- Ensuring Simulation ideals match organisational objectives
- Creating new links to services who have not considered simulation as a teaching methodology
- Planning and organising simulation modalities across ISUs
- Assist lead to manage budget and resources
- Working alongside digital educational teams to create future VR/XR simulation resources
- Assist wider organisation in areas such as recruitment/retention, building brighter future objectives and school access to care programmes for work experience
- Be lead for community simulations within ICO
- Lead alongside medical colleagues on both undergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching programmes in terms of simulation. (will not require knowledge of actual medical training itself)

- The post holder will be expected to communicate with, simulation facilitators, Simulation tutors, centre technician and VR technician, Clinical & Education simulation Lead, Education wider teams. Medical University teams including administration staff, sub dean/deans of medical schools, university clinical skills tutors and technicians. Community Teams and Individual ISU Practice Educators. Active participant in regional simulation network
