**Afternoon Parcel Sorters Required**

The Best Connection are currently recruiting Afternoon Parcel Sorters that focuses on the restricted commodities department sort, collect, process, inspect and ensure the proper build-up of all Restricted Commodities
shipments to work for one of our clients based at East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a global leader in logistics, distribution and supply chain management, with full Aviation Training provided.
- Starting after the 18th of September
- ** Hours: Monday to Friday 18:00-02:30**:

- ** Pay: £14.22ph (£29,578pa)**:

- ** Overtime: £18.06ph**:

- ** Location: East Midlands Airport, Castle Donington**:

- Duration: Ongoing, Temp to Perm
- Accessible via the Skylink Bus Route

**Requirements of a Afternoon Parcel Sorter**:

- Have a 5 year checkable work history (Obtained for you by us)
- Be willing to attend an Aviation Cargo Operative Course (Paid for by us)
- Computer literacy
- Confident and effective communication skills
- Flexibility - this is essential due to operational requirements
- Driving license - required
- Knowledge of types of aircraft and ULD capacities - desirable

**Role of a Afternoon Parcel Sorter**:

- Working closely with the sort operations staff
- Confirming all Restricted Commodities freight and arranging correct units for each flight
- Keying in, filing and distribution of all relevant paperwork
- Checking off all paperwork and freight
- Ensuring all required checks and check sheets are completed prior to the freight being loaded for export
- Successfully distributing, loading, flagging and scanning all Restricted Commodities freight
- Ensuring all Restricted Commodities freight is correctly loaded and secured as per load security requirements
- Using Motorised Equipment
- Lifting and Moving Parcels (may be up to 20kg in certain areas)
- Attend and pass a 2-yearly IATA DGR course
- Quality Inspecting Cargo
